We seek a dynamic and innovative English Teacher to join our rapidly improving English and Media Faculty. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing each of our students with the best possible learning experience and achieving the best results possible. This exciting and challenging post requires an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic individual teaching English up to and including A level. In addition to English, there may be the possibility to also teach Media Studies or Drama. We encourage applications from Newly Qualified teachers.

The main focus of the role is whole class supervision in the short term absence of teachers. It is essential that candidates have experience of working with young people, have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to self-manage. This is a great opportunity for people wishing to gain experience in a classroom/educational setting prior to pursuing a career in education.

Hours: 840 hour per annum to be worked over 39 weeks per year

The main focus of these roles is to assist and support teaching staff in meeting the academic needs of students both individually and in groups. The posts will include developing, co-ordinating and delivering programmes of support, in conjunction with other professionals and agencies. The role requires the person to establish supportive relationships with students, often working with them on a 1:1 basis. The posts require an awareness of academic data used to support the progress of students in Maths, English or Science.
