This event is produced by a partnership of Local Authorities and Emergency Services. The aim is to improve road safety awareness for young people. This will be achieved by a multi-media high quality, multi-agency presentation at the Pavillions in Plymouth. The event is offered free of charge to students and is hightly valuable as many are in the process of becoming young drivers.

Welcome to the new academic year at Tavistock College Sixth Form. We are very pleased that your son or daughter has chosen to study here. One very important person over the next two years will be his or her tutor. Morning registration plays a vital part in the routine of the sixth form and most mornings your son or daughter will meet with their tutor who will monitor their progress and be there to guide and support them throughout their time in sixth form. Therefore, I am pleased to invite you to our Meet the Tutor Evening on Wednesday 16 October in the Octagon, starting at 18.00 and finishing at approximately 19.00.

As I’m sure you are aware, your son/ daughter has been enrolled to take our ‘Bridge Pathway’ in Year 12. This course will consist of students re-taking English and Maths GCSEs as required - if they have achieved below a Grade C previously in one or both of these subjects. Students will also be helped to find and undertake a day of work experience each Friday.
