Year Seven Documents
- Year 7 Language Options (121k pdf document)
Year 7 have been on a language rotation of French, Spanish and Japanese, and are currently on their third and final language. It is now time for them to decide which language they would like to continue studying. They will not be able to change this language at a later date.
Each student will have a meeting with a member of the language’s faculty (week commencing 13th May), who will look at their academic performance this year, as well as their future aspirations, to help decide which language would be most appropriate for them to study.
At the end of next week, Friday 17th May, all Year 7s will be issued with a letter asking you to rank language choices in order of preference on a slip at the bottom of the letter and return this to your child’s language teacher. Where possible we will try to accommodate everyone’s first language choice. However, it will be done on a first come first served basis.
The deadline for the return of this slip is Friday 24th May. We would ask you to adhere to this deadline as we would like to be able to accommodate everyone’s first choice.
