Safe Routes to School
This video – which highlights safe places to cross main roads in the town – is the result of a collaboration between the College, the town's Primary Schools and Devon County Council under the STARSS (Sustainable Travel and Road Safety in School Transitions) banner.
Teacher and Head of Transition Sally Hubbard said: "We are keen to encourage students to walk and cycle to school. This video helps them to do so in a safe way and we hope it also reassures parents that the suggested routes are suitable for young people making their way to College."
The film was created by former Tavistock College students Nick Peres and Simon Hunter who now run MindMaker – a video production company. It features students from the College and Whitchurch, Tavistock and St Peter's Primary Schools as they discuss ways of getting to school.
