Students honour the College founders
The top priority at the College is to support each child to develop both academically and as an individual. Our aim is that every student will progress from the College to pursue a successful career and also to lead a full, rewarding and enjoyable life within their community and with their families.
The College has specialist Language College status. International topics and issues are reflected across the curriculum. This provides the understanding, essential for everyone, of the opportunities and challenges presented in an increasingly global community and economy.
Standards are high both within and beyond the classroom. Students need to work hard and enjoy learning. They are continuously challenged to do better, are required to embrace new technology and increasingly accept responsibility for their own learning and success. The curriculum is broad and there are many opportunities for enrichment through international links, clubs, sport and performing arts.
Working in partnership is a key element of the success of the College. An example is our partnership with local sports clubs, other schools, local councils and national sporting organisations to develop both facilities and opportunities for students and the wider community. The most important partnership, however, is that with parents and carers. Your involvement in College activities will not only help your son or daughter to achieve their full potential but will also strengthen our local community to the benefit of all. We look forward to working with you.

The Reunion Society provides a forum for students who left Tavistock School 25 years ago or more. The Society meets annually and publishes an annual magazine called 'The Phoenix'. We have an active membership of approximately 250 people representing a wide range of school years.
Part of the pleasure in being a member is simple nostalgia and part is renewing old friendships (and making new ones) with both students and staff. We also hope to increase the liaison with Tavistock College and develop the membership further. This could be done by having a representative for each year, so if you are willing please let us know.
