Join the Celebration
Now celebrating its 16th year, ‘World Book Day’ on Thursday March 7th
will be the biggest celebration of children’s books and reading in the
UK and Ireland this year. Eight free books were produced in a
partnership between publishers, booksellers, authors etc, working
together to promote the enjoyment of books and reading to young people
everywhere. To mark the occasion we will be giving away a free book
token to every student so they can buy a book to read on ‘World Book
Day’.
-
Tokens can be exchanged at your local bookshop for a World Book Day £1
book (whilst stocks last). Titles include Tony Robinson's Weird World
of Wonders, The Diamond Brothers in .... Two of Diamonds by Anthony
Horowitz, Hang in there Bozo, Tom Gates: Best Book Day Ever by Liz
Pichon and Bitter Sweet by Cathy Cassidy. There will be a display in
the library of all the books and at participating stores.

held in the College Library during 28th Feb – 6th March. Great
